Managing Problems, Allergies, and Medications
In the Problems, Allergies, and Medications section, you must manually add Problems and Allergies. They do not automatically move over from the Intake Forms. We made this change to ensure that only accurate information is passed along in case of transfer or transport; this workflow ensures that each Problem and Allergy has been reviewed by a provider.
It's a very simple matter to move the items as you review the intake form. Here's how:
- While in your client’s Forms section, you will notice an “Eye” icon appear next to Overview tab in the left-hand Client Menu.
- As you review the form, when you come to an item that needs to be moved into the Problems, Allergies, or Medications, you only have to click on this “Eye” icon and then click on the appropriate section title. So, in the case that you find an allergy, click the “Eye” icon and then clicked Allergies.
- From here, you can click Add+ and enter the allergy in the pop-up window without ever leaving your place in the Intake Forms.
- You can do the same from any Encounter or any other location in the chart, other than the Overview.
- This workflow also applies to Problems. Medications, such as antenatal prescriptions, can be added here as well, though they will auto-fill from the intake form if the client has entered that information there.
Note: Anything that you add to the "Problems, Allergies, and Medications" list will be viewable to the client on their Overview page when they log in to their account. If you'd like for anything on the list to be hidden from the client's view, you'll select the drop-down arrow next to the individual allergy/problem/medication and choose "Hide in "Highlights" view." To make a hidden allergy/problem/medication visible to the client, you'll choose "Show in "Highlights" view."
