How to Assign User Settings for Care Guide Library
Who is this guide for:

Where to begin:
Practice Settings
In Maternity Neighborhood there are different pairings of user permissions. This ensures that users only have access to data and client information that is prevalent to their roles at your practice. By default, all Care Providers can view and send resources to their clients. But should you want them to also add resources, edit the auto-send schedule, or set resource visibility then they'll need the additional pairing of Librarian.
Other User can also accomplish these actions if they are paired with Librarian or Resource Sender.
Please Note: The Other User only exists in our Midwife product, if you are on our Doula product you will not see this user option.
To start, click Settings in the left hand navigation bar. This will take you to the practice settings where you can click on the Users tile.
Next, select the user whose permissions you'd like to update. This will take you to their profile where you'll see the Edit button in the top right corner. Once here, scroll to the bottom of the page where you'll see the different user permissions available.
If the user is currently a Care Provider or Other User, you'll want to select Librarian to ensure they have access to all parts of the Library - such as adding resources.
You'll also notice that Other User can be paired with either Librarian or a Resource Sender. If you select Librarian you'll notice that Resource Sender is greyed out and also selected. If you select Resource Sender then Librarian will remain unchecked. This is because a Librarian has the same capabilities as a Resource Sender but a Resource Sender can only attach resources to messages (they can not added resources to the library or set any other library functions).
