Practice level Messages
How do I send a practice-level message? Messages that are independent of any particular client's chart can be sent to other practice members from the Practice Navigation Menu in the upper left-hand corner of the EHR.
1. Click on the Practice Navigation Menu, and then on Messages.
2. Select the Add Message in the far right corner. Compose your message. Then select who will receive the message by clicking on View/Change next to Nobody will be notified, then type in the names. Keep in mind that when the message is sent there will be a list of others who receive it that is visible to each recipient. There is no BCC (blind copy) setting. Replies from any recipient will go to all original recipients. In the case that you want to compose a private message back to the original sender, you should create a new message.
3. All practice-level messages are stored in the system at this point, and divided into pages once there are more than 20 listed. They are searchable by title and by content.
Can I use messages as reminders? Yes. Some practices put running lists in messages as a place that all users can see and edit them.
